2021 was a bit of an up and down kind of year, all the way across the board. Family drama with Uncle Richard & Aunt Andi lead to me losing the job with Ashton (and I'm still not sure, 6mo later, why it happened the way that it did), but within a week, I started at Sheetz in Aug, after I got home from the Alanis concert trip with Amanda.
The rest of the year was....somehow both incredibly fast (how is it already the end of the year, and almost 2022?) and debilitatingly slow (time is a lie and has no real meaning). I'm looking forward to leaving this one behind for the fresh feel of a new start in the new year.
1. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I did not keep to my resolutions, but I have a lot that I'm going to work on in the coming year, and I'm excited about it.
2.What would you like to have next year that you lacked this year?
This may be a lofty goal (and I won't be disappointed if it takes longer to achieve), but a new career in front-end development plz&thx!
3. What date from this year will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Several things, but the biggest "for me" purchase I made this year was my Macbook and I am so utterly in love with it, honestly. Best practical purchase of the year was the deep freezer!
5. What did you want and not get?
A completed GoodReads challenge (almost!). A successful NaNo (I didn't even write during it, really).
6. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
33, and I didn't do much. Kiddo & Mom sang happy b'day and I got flowers and a cake.
7. How would you describe your personal fashion concept?
Comfort over everything else. Too-big, loose sweaters, tanktops, shorts, pajama pants. Def a bit of a boho vibe, too.
8. Which celebrity/public figure did you like the most?
Hmm. I don't know. I don't follow celebs much really. Shadow&Bone cast have been gems to see on insta from time to time, though. Particularly Kit Young & Freddy Carter.

Definitely the DC riots.

3. What date from this year will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Feb 15/Mar 15 - 1st & 2nd moderna covid vax dates.4. What did you want and get?
July - not a specific date, but the transitional phase between jobs started at the end of that month, and a lot of my previous on-edge feelings for dealing with constant family drama tension started easing.
Aug 13 - Dallas trip for Alanis with Amanda, was an absolute blast, and definitely did not last long enough.
Dec 14 - Meeting with a lawyer and hearing my options to move forward with things I'd like to pursue.
Several things, but the biggest "for me" purchase I made this year was my Macbook and I am so utterly in love with it, honestly. Best practical purchase of the year was the deep freezer!
